Actually that is difficult to answer. Firstly, homes are taxed on their appraised value, not their market value. Secondly, the tax is assessed on which authorities have the right to collect tax on that property, which varies around Houston. Lastly, if you have received exemptions, the tax can be lowered. These factors can make the tax amount vary greatly. Best guess would be anywhere from $2000 to $4000, but I cannot be really sure.

This will all depend on your tax rate, your assessed value by your appraisal district, and if you have exemptions (like Homestead, over 65, disabled). With no exemption, you would take the assessed value of the appraisal district x your taxe rate(s). Taxes in Houston and the Houston Areas vary. The most common range would be 2%-4%, with newer subdivision and subdivisions with a mud likely to be higher.
