I would ask someone to look at the siding to verify whether or not it is old growth Cypress, which most historic homes in The Heights would have been built with. If the siding is Cypress it adds to the value of the home and salvage companies pay top dollar for it when people do decide to remove it to replace the original siding with Hardi.
